The Great War: Flesh vs. Spirit

For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh. We can relate to this very real struggle. We feel the pull from the Holy Spirit in our heart and the pull from our very own flesh. How can we overcome the desires of the flesh and follow the spirit? So what's the answer? Is it to try harder? Can we, in our own strength, be disciplined enough to quit sinning for good? Look at what Galatians 5:{16} says: "So I say, walk by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." That's our key to overcoming sin. But what does that mean? How do we walk by the Spirit? "It is for freedom that Yahawashi has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened AGAIN by a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:{1}
